New Blog

As you may have seen I haven’t been posting much on this blog recently. That’s because I have decided to start a new one with the Blogger platform as WordPress restricts templates and I wanted my blog to be more personal to me. My new blog url is monochrome-vogue.blogspot.co.uk

If I feel unhappy about how that blog is going I may come back to this one, however please go and check out my new one even if it is a work in progress at the moment.

Thanks for reading,

Fashion Wishlist: Coats & Jackets

Today I thought I would do my first wishlist post and seeing as Coats & Jackets are some of my all time favourite fashion pieces, it will be the best place to start.

Urban Outfitters

Rains Jacket in Yellow – £75

After seeing this on Zoe’s (Zoella) latest Get Ready with Me I fell in love with it. The colour is lovely and like nothing I really own, plus it is a traditional piece that will never go out of style.

Topshop

MOTO Light Stone Borg Western Jacket – £58

I was so close to buying this in Topshop the other day. When I was at the Clothes Show this year I saw a lot of denim jackets that were of similar price but as I now have vouchers I think it will be most probably joining my wardrobe soon.

ASOS Coat With Cocoon Fit In Textured Wool – £85

This style of Boyfriend coat has come into Fashion a lot recently and I really love them. This is the one that I have liked the most when browsing around shops, mint green/blue is one of my favourite colours and perfect for Spring, which is quickly on its way.

Urban Outfitters

Vintage Renewal Harrington Jacket in Navy – £55

Bomber jackets are another piece that will never go out of style and I will never stop loving. This one is from Urban Outfitters and isn’t a too bad price at £55.

Clothes Show Live 2014

On Monday 8th I was lucky enough to go to The Clothes Show Live in Birmingham.

Clothes show live post

As someone who loves Fashion and Beauty a lot this event was my absolute heaven. There are around 10 halls filled with Hair & Beauty, Vintage Clothing, The Designer Outlet and loads more, many selling at reduced rates or offering goody bags for £10. Of course the main Fashion Show took place in the Fashion Theatre with performances from Stereo Kicks and Interviews with Reality Stars and Vloggers. Unfortunately FleurDeForce, Jim Chapman and Alfie Deyes where there at the weekend but I did get to meet Mazzi Maz!

Here are some of the things I picked up:

Barry M Goody Bag

Birmingham | Custard Factory

Recently I visited the Custard Factory in Birmingham. There are lots of individual vintage shops, cafes and galleries as well as some amazing street art and sculptures. I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you find yourself in Birmingham, it is only a 10/15 minute walk from The Bull Ring and has a shop for everyone. There are Homeware shops, Cosmetics, Games and even a 50’s style salon that I am desperate to go to.

Revlon Colorburst Review

Recently there has been a lot of positive things going around about Revlon’s newest lip products. So I thought I would do a quick review on both the matte balms and lacquer balms.

IMG_4201[1]

I decided to pick up the colours 105 Demure and 205 Elusive. Demure is very light and definitely a more everyday lip colour. It is very glossy and includes some shimmer. I think it is probably my favourite out of the two and the colour would suit a lot of people.

IMG_4202[1]

Elusive is a really pretty matte medium pink colour. My initial thought was that it would be a lot more drying on the lips but it is the complete opposite. I think it is more of an evening lip product than Demure.

IMG_4203[1]

Both balms have a minty smell and taste and are very moisturising. They retail at £7.99 each so it is worth picking some up if you want to try them out. I know there are currently lots deals in Boots, I got mine at 2 for £10 and I am sure you can get them cheaper elsewhere. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and it helped you to decide whether to purchase this product. Thanks for reading!
